Merry Christmas
I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday. Time with family and friends surely beats the everyday drudge.
I am looking forward to next year. My goal is to keep perspective in everything. Considering 2012 is an election year, it will be a challenge.
Look for a series of “State of the County” briefings in the coming months. It will be good to re-cap the past year of successes and challenges while we look into the coming years.
Is there anything in particular you’d like me to cover in my presentations?
Rosas Ranch
The Rosas Ranch request for a Special Use Permit was denied earlier today by a unanimous vote of the Board of Supervisors. The issue was never the business. Rosas Ranch is a beautiful facility and a great business for the community. The issue was always the location. A commercial business with music well into the evening in a dark sky, rural community is a non-starter.
I’m hopeful that the Rosas Family will find an appropriate use for their building and replicate their business in another, correctly zoned location.
I welcome your comments.
